Michael H. Gallagher, M.S., P.T., S.C.S. is one of the 1,676 Board Certified Clinical Specialists in Sports Physical Therapy in the United States.  He has been board certified since 1993, and in 2015 has been recertified as a clinical specialist.  Michael Gallagher graduated Cum Laude from Long Island University in 1986 with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy.  Michael has 30 years of experience in treatment of orthopaedic and neurological conditions, as well as in sports-related pathologies:  treating high school, collegian and professional athletes. He is assistant professor of physical therapy at Long Island University and Nassau Community College.  He is also a clinical professor of physical therapy at the College of Staten Island, Springfield College, Long Island University, Nassau Community College, LaSalle College, Stonybrook University, NYU, New York Medical College, NYIT, and Touro College. He has been a member of SACE (Specialization Academy of Content Experts) which is responsible for creating the Board of Certification Examination in Sports Physical Therapy.  Michael established Nassau Sports Physical Therapy, P.C. in 1988, and continues to provide customized hands-on care for each individual patient since this time.
